Estou fazendo o curso de VPS Contabo e ao instalar o wordpress deu esse erro: NGINX configuration check failed. Como resolver isso?

É um servidor novo certo?
Esse tipo de erro geralmente acontece quando algum pacote não é estalado corretamente durante a atualização.

Nesta situação de se tratar de um servidor novo recomendaria reinstalar o sistema operacional e recomeçar.

Eu já tinha a vps, mas com Windows. Tinha tentado fazer pelo win, mas tava muito trabalhoso e resolvi instalar o debian 9 e seguir seu passo a passo.

Legal.
É comum acontecer de ter pacotes off quando faz atualizações.
Quando acontece logo no inicio minha recomendação sempre é recomeçar.
